Medical Sonography in Florida
Ultrasound sonography has replaced X Rays for many types of examinations of internal organs because patients are not exposed to radiation. Medical sonographers examine and diagnose conditions involving the heart, the eyes, the brain, the reproductive system, and other organs. In addition to operating the ultrasound equipment, diagnostic medical sonographers work with patients to ensure safety and patient comfort, and prepare the images and reports that will later be interpreted by a physician.
