Ashworth College teaches students how to create effective pictures, and make prints both in the darkroom and digitally in its Intro to Photography diploma correspondence course. The course teaches the techniques of proper camera usage, including lens selection, composing a good picture, and the use of lighting and filters to create effects. Students learn how to develop film, and create photographic prints. Advanced topics include the use of digital cameras and the use of image editing software to create digital prints.
