CAD and Drafting Technology Training Schools

Brown Mackie College prepares graduates for entry-level positions in CADD operations with its Associate degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology. Students develop mechanical and computer-aided drafting and design skills, including preparing assembly and detail drawings, operating CADD software, and producing solid model drawings.

CDM Institute offers several certificate programs that provide training on the latest CAD and CNC programming techniques. As an authorized AutoDesk training center, students can receive training on the full line of AutoDesk products, from AutoCad to Architectural Desktop and Inventor. Programs are available to help everyone from novice AutoCad users to those wishing to complete a comprehensive CAD Industry Expert program.

The CNC Programming and MasterCam program is for people with machining industry or manufacturing design experience. Students learn to use g-code programming to create instructions for CNC machinery, and to process CAD drawings for computer aided manufacturing.

Lincoln Tech® Mechanical or Architectural Drafting, Design, and CAD Technology associate degree program teaches traditional drafting table skills, along with computer aided drafting skills. Students learn mechanical drafting, used to create drawings of fasteners, gears, piping and other mechanical equipment, as well as architectural drafting, used to create blueprints for residential and commercial structures.

Both programs provide comprehensive training in the creation of blueprints and CADD.
